About
Hi,

My name is Dr. London. I am a Pediatric and Youth Sports Chiropractor located in the Suburbs of Atlanta. I have been married to my husband Scott for 21 years and am the proud mother of two boys.
Children's health and wellness have been a passion of mine even before I graduated from Life University here in Atlanta. Upon becoming a D.C. a whole world of ways to support children's health through Chiropractic was presented to me. From ear infections to asthma, even helping babies recover from the stress of childbirth. With a B.S. in Adult Health and Fitness, sports chiropractic fully aligned with my passion to provide healing and support to the world. Having worked with Adults before going to Life, I could see the long term effects from years of wear and tear that could have been prevented with proper spine care and education. Motherhood has been a driving force throughout my career. As a parent you always want the very best for your children. Being able to share information regarding health and nutrition while working with my patients has been an additional rewarding aspect of building close connections with the people who have trusted me with their care. If we haven't had the opportunity to work together yet, please call me to set up an appointment I would love to meet you and explore how I can help you and your family.
People come in for pain but Chiropractic is about health.
Vertebrae are attached to muscles and ligaments. When the vertebrae move out of its proper position you have muscular imbalance. One side of the body can be higher or tighter. When this muscular imbalance happens you are more prone to injury.
In between each vertebrae are nerves that supply a particular area. Eyes, Sinuses. Thyroid. Heart. Lungs. Stomach. Bladder. Bowel. Reproductive organs. And many other areas. When that vertebrae moves on the nerve -now you have decreased supply to that area. You may be getting 70% nerve supply to your stomach instead of 100%. We adjust that vertebrae with our hands and now that nerve is supplying the area optimally.
It takes time to retrain the muscles and ligaments attached to the vertebrae. One side is strong and the other side is weak. The vertebra is going to want to pull to the weak side. It needs consistent adjustments to be retrained and for the muscles to be even on both sides. When the muscles and ligaments are equal on both sides, that is called holding the adjustment.
I look for symmetry, as well. If there is asymmetry in your body (your shoulder blades for example) you will not perform as well as you would if they were symmetrical because you are not getting full, equal, proper rotation in a shoulder. This will cause improper wear and injury and ultimately affects performance.
Having the vertebrae and extremities adjusted helps with balance and agility and strength.
Today's High School Athletes perform with a much more rigorous intention and schedule than ever before and with that intensity and less downtime, there is a much greater chance for injury.
Chiropractic Wellness Care can set Athletes up for better success by being proactive about their health and reducing the chances of injury before one actually occurs.
